Giant's Grave

The Giant's Grave is a name applied to a pair of standing stones at the foot of the eastern slopes of the Beorgs of Housetter in Northmavine in Shetland, a quarter-mile (0.5 km) north northwest of the settlement of Housetter. Reaching a height of 2.7m (9 feet) and 2m (6½ feet) respectively these pink granite slabs mark the ends of an almost completely eroded chambered tomb. Another chambered cairn nearby is known as Trowie Knowe.
