Fordell Burn

A iron-rich stream of W Fife, which forms from the Muir Row Burn near Broomieside, the Fordell Burn flows southwest and then south through the wooded Fordell Glen to join with the Keithing Burn just to the north of Dalgety Bay railway station. It is charged by various springs, including St. Theriot's Well. The source of the iron is both the ferruginous nature of at least two of these springs, but also from abandoned coal workings in the vicinity.
