The Serpentine, Rothesay

A remarkable road which descends steeply into the centre of Rothesay on the Isle of Bute, The Serpentine (or Serpentine Road) snakes its way down the western slopes of Canada Hill, turning through fourteen hairpin bends and falling a vertical distance of around 70m (230 feet).
