Faughlin Reservoir

A tiny reservoir on the border between North Lanarkshire and Falkirk Council Areas, Faughlin Reservoir is operated by Scottish Water for the supply of drinking-water. Located on the course of the Faughlin Burn, amongst plantation forest, a quarter-mile (0.5 km) south of Carron Bridge, it is impounded by an earth embankment dam. It also receives several other streams which descend from the Kilsyth Hills.
