The Sleeping Warrior

The Sleeping Warrior is the name given to a profile within the ridges and mountain peaks of NE Arran, as seen from the North Ayrshire coast and the Isle of Bute. The head of the recumbent warrior lies to the southeast, with the brim of his cap, face, nose and chin centred on the ridges of Cir Mhor, his chest formed by the slopes of Caisteal Abhail and arms clasped across his chest from Ceum na Caillich. The remainder of the body is indistinct but slopes to the northwest.
