Loch Finlas Reservoir

A small reservoir impounded by an earth embankment dam at the head of Glen Finlas in Argyll and Bute, Loch Finlas Reservoir is located 4½ miles (7 km) north northeast of Helensburgh (Argyll and Bute) and 7 miles (11 km) north northwest of Alexandria (West Dunbartonshire). It is operated by Scottish Water for the supply of drinking-water and extends to an area of 14.3 ha (35 acres). Unnamed on the Ordnance Survey map, this reservoir is the source of the Finlas Water.
