Loch Lossit

A small loch in the E of the island of Islay in Argyll and Bute, Loch Lossit is situated a quarter-mile (0.5 km) south of Loch Ballygrant and a mile (1.5 km) southeast of the settlement of Ballygrant. It extends to 17.5 ha (43.2 acres) and includes three wooded islets, one of which has been identified as a crannog. The loch provides a recreational fishery and is a source of drinking water.
