The smaller of two reservoirs in West Lothian, Morton Upper Reservoir lies next to the Morton Burn, a half-mile (0.8 km) southeast of Morton Lower Reservoir and 3 miles (5 km) southeast of Livingston. Retained by an earth embankment dam, it is operated by Scottish Water for the supply of drinking-water.
