Da Sneck o' da Smaalie

A deep rock-cleft situated a half-mile (0.8 km) north northwest of Da Noup, at the head of Da Daal on the SW coast of Foula (Shetland), Da Sneck o' da Smaalie (from Norse meaning 'the gap in the small slope') gives the adventurous access through the cliffs to a wave-cut platform on the shore. Historian and television director Paul Murton visited Da Sneck on his Grand Tours of the Scottish Islands for the BBC in 2013.
