Pinkhill

(Pink Hill)

A small district of W Edinburgh, Pinkhill (occasionally Pink Hill) lies to the south of Corstorphine Road, a quarter-mile (0.5 km) west of Balgreen and a half-mile (1 km) east of Corstorphine. There was once a station here on the Corstorphine Branch of the Edinburgh & Glasgow Railway. This branch closed in 1968 but now provides a walking and cycle route. Today there are commercial premises together with blocks of flats in Pinkhill Park that were built 2012. There is a bus stop on Corstorphine Road known as Traquair Park East or Pinkhill.
