Carsie Hill

A steep little summit which represents an outlier of the Riccarton Hills in West Lothian, Carsie Hill rises to 116m (380 feet) a quarter-mile (0.5 km) northwest of Riccarton and 1½ miles (2.5 km) southeast of Linlithgow. A prominent tail extending eastwards indicates the direction of an ancient ice sheet, while whinstone was once quarried on its western slopes.
