Glen Turret

One of the smaller of the Angus Glens, Glen Turret extends north for 3 miles (5 km) from Millden Lodge in Glen Esk towards the border with Aberdeenshire. It is occupied by the Burn of Turret and gives its name to the Glen Turret Psammite, a type of metamorphic rock which comprises this section of the Grampian Mountains.
