Dummuies is a small wind farm situated on rolling hills in Strathbogie, NW Aberdeenshire, 3 miles (5 km) southeast of Huntly. Operational since April 2007, it comprises seven Vestas V66 turbines, located between Wind's Eye and Ordiesnaught, each 1.75 megawatts (MW) in capacity, giving a total power output of 12.25 MW. The turbines are mounted on 47-m (154-foot) high towers, with 66m (216 feet) diameter blades giving an overall height to blade tip of 80m (262 feet). The farm was developed and built by Eco2, funded by Good Energies Capital Inc. but sold to Swedish home furnishings retailer Ikea in 2011. Ikea also owns wind turbines in Germany, Denmark, France and Sweden. Eco2 continues to provide management and maintenance services.
