Dam Hill

The westernmost of a group of three hillocks in The Machars of Dumfries and Galloway, Dam Hill rises to 63m (206 feet) a half-mile (1 km) west of Kirkinner. This is a drumlin, deposited beneath an extensive ice sheet which once covered this area and is aligned NE-SW indicating the direction of flow. There is another Dam Hill 3½ miles (5.5 km) to the west northwest.
