Bank Hill

The lower of a pair of little hogbacks located within a loop of the Tarf Water in Dumfries and Galloway, Bank Hill rises to just beyond 85m (278 feet) to the east of Lady Hill, 2 miles (3.2 km) southwest of Kirkcowan. These are part of an extensive drumlin field and are aligned NNE-SSW indicating the direction of ice flow. Kenmure lies to the south. This not the only Bank Hill in The Machars; others are located 4 miles (6.5 km) to the north, 5 miles (8 km) to the west, 6 miles (10 km) to the east southeast, a similar distance to the northeast and 10 miles (16 km) to the east southeast
