Newton Hill

An elongated hogback in The Machars of Galloway, Newton Hill rises to 68m (223 feet) a quarter-mile (0.5 km) southeast of Barlae Hill and 1½ miles (2.5 km) west southwest of Bladnoch. This is part of an extensive drumlin field, with its principal axis aligned NNE-SSW indicating the direction of glacial flow.
