Barquhill Hill

A hogback in The Machars of Dumfries and Galloway, Barquhill Hill rises to 72m (236 feet) 1¼ miles (2 km) south of Kirkcowan and 2 miles (3 km) west northwest of Spittal. An unclassified road curves around its southern slopes alongside the Gass Burn. This is part of an extensive drumlin field and is aligned N-S indicating the direction of glacial flow. There is another Barquhill Hill located just 2 miles (3 km) to the south southeast.
