A hogback in The Machars of Dumfries and Galloway, Knockronie rises to just beyond 70m (229 feet) to the northwest of Torhousemuir and 1½ miles (2.5 km) east northeast of Spittal. This is one of a number of drumlins in this area, aligned NNW-SSE suggesting the direction of glacial flow.
