Cawvis Hill

A well-defined drumlin in The Machars of Dumfries and Galloway, Cawvis Hill rises to just 36m (118 feet) midway between Newton Stewart and Wigtown, a half-mile (1 km) southwest of Causeway End. This is one of a number of drumlins hereabouts, aligned NNW-SSE indicating the direction of ice flow within an ancient glacier.
