Meg's Hill

A well-defined drumlin in The Machars of Galloway, Meg's Hill rises to 66m (216 feet) on the right bank of the River Bladnoch, 2 miles (3 km) west northwest of Wigtown. This is one of a number of drumlins in this area and is aligned NNW-SSE indicating the direction of glacial flow. Plantation forest, which occupies Clauchrie Moor to the north, wraps itself around the northern slopes of this hillock.
