Mill Hill

A drumlin in The Machars of Galloway, Mill Hill rises to just above 35m (114 feet) on the right bank of the River Bladnoch, a half-mile (1 km) west southwest of the settlement of Bladnoch and 1½ miles (2.5 km) north northwest of Kirkinner. This is one of a number of drumlins in this area, with its principal axis aligned NNW-SSE suggesting the direction of ice flow within an ancient glacier. Another drumlin, Meg's Hill, lies just a quarter-mile (0.5 km) to the northeast, while there is another Mill Hill 3¾ miles (6 km) to the south.
