Auchenmalg Hill

An elongated whaleback in SW Dumfries and Galloway, Auchenmalg Hill rises to just beyond 65m (213 feet) to the northeast of Auchenmalg and 1½ miles (2.5 km) south southeast of Whitefield Loch. This is one of the southernmost of a number of drumlins in The Machars, aligned N-S indicating the direction of flow of an ancient ice sheet that covered the area.
