A tributary of the Hermitage Water in the Scottish Borders, Kiln Knowe rises on the southeastern slopes of Kiln Knowe and flows south southeast alongside the B6399 road, passing Whitrope, Whitropefoot and Hermitage, to fall into the Hermitage Water having completed a course of 4¾ miles (7.6 km).
