Broom Hill

A summit in The Machars of Galloway, Broom Hill rises to just beyond 45m (147 feet) overlooking the River Bladnoch, a half-mile (0.8 km) south southeast of Spittal and 1¾ miles (2.8 km) west of Torhousemuir. This is a drumlin and is linked by a ridge to another, Knockmonoday, to the southeast. There is a patch of woodland in the summit. Confusingly there is another Broom Hill only a half-mile (1 km) to the south, on the opposite bank of the River Bladnoch.
