Knockmonoday

One of a pair of connected drumlins in The Machars of Dumfries and Galloway, Knockmonoday rises to just above 35m (114 feet) on the left bank of the River Bladnoch, a half-mile (1 km) southeast of Spittal and 1½ miles (2.5 km) west southwest of Torhousemuir. Together with Broom Hill to the northwest, these summits form part of an extensive drumlin field deposited beneath an ancient ice sheet.
