Loch Hill

An elongated summit in The Machars of Galloway, Loch Hill rises to just beyond 40m (131 feet) amongst woodland overlooking the White Loch of Myrton from the northwest. This is one of a number of drumlins in this area, aligned NNE-SSW suggesting the direction of flow of an ancient ice sheet. There are other nearby drumlins known as Loch Hill, the closest being just 3 miles (5 km) to the northeast and 4 miles (6.5 km) to the north northwest.
