Ersock Hill

A elongated summit in the southern part of The Machars of Galloway, Ersock Hill rises to 74m (242 feet) 1¼ miles (2 km) southeast of Glasserton and 1½ miles (2.5 km) south southwest of Whithorn. This is one of a number of drumlins in this area, aligned NE-SW indicating the direction of flow of an ancient ice sheet.
