Barwinnock Hill

A well-defined drumlin in The Machars of Galloway, Barwinnock Hill rises to 72m (236 feet) a half-mile (0.8 km) west southwest of Auchness and 2 miles (3 km) east of Myrton Castle. This is one of a number of drumlins in this area, aligned NE-SW suggesting the direction of ice flow. Another drumlin, which reaches 75m (246 feet) to the north, is unnamed on Ordnance Survey maps.
