Sour Hill

A summit in The Machars of Galloway, Sour Hill rises to 63m (206 feet) on the right bank of the River Bladnoch, a quarter-mile (0.5 km) northeast of Whithorn. This is one of a number of drumlins in this area, formed of till and deposited beneath an ancient ice sheet. There is another Sour Hill only 1½ miles (2.5 km) to the northwest.
