Kilfillan Hill

A well-defined drumlin in The Machars of Galloway, Kilfillan Hill rises to 41m (134 feet) overlooking Garlieston Bay, ¾ mile (1.2 km) west of Garlieston. This is part of an extensive drumlin field, with its principal axis aligned NNW-SSE indicating the direction of ice flow of an ancient glacier. An old Royal Observer Corps lookout post is located close to the summit.
