Cowan Hill

An elongated summit in The Machars of Dumfries and Galloway, Cowan Hill rises to 70m (229 feet) a quarter-mile (0.4 km) west of Moudie Hill and a mile (1.8 km) northeast of Airyhassen. This is part of an extensive drumlin field, with its principal axis aligned SSW-NNE indicating the direction of flow of an ancient ice sheet.
