Knockbrake

A drumlin in The Machars of Dumfries and Galloway, Knockbrake forms the western shoulder of Fell Hill, rising within plantation forest to just beyond 130m (426 feet), a quarter-mile (0.4 km) east of Loch Heron and a similar distance southeast of Balminnoch. This is one of a number of drumlins in this area, aligned NNE-SSW indicating the direction of glacial flow.
