Bank Hill

A well-defined drumlin in The Machars of Galloway, Bank Hill rises to just beyond 115m (377 feet) to the south of the Black Burn, a half-mile (1 km) northwest of Culvennan Fell and 3 miles (5 km) northwest of Kirkcowan. Its tear-drop shape has a pronounced tail which is aligned NE-SW suggesting the direction of flow of the ice sheet which covered this area in ancient times.

There are five other summits with the name Bank Hill nearby, located 4 miles (6.5 km) to the south, 5 miles (8 km) to the east, 7 miles (11 km) to the southwest, 8½ miles (14 km) to the southeast and 12 miles (19 km) to the southeast.
