White Hill

A little oval summit in The Machars of Galloway, White Hill rises to 99m (324 feet) within plantation forest, a quarter-mile (0.4 km) southeast of the Rig of Barnharrow and a mile (1.6 km) northwest of Culvennan Fell. This is one of a number of drumlins in this area, deposited below and ancient ice sheet and aligned NNE-SSW indicating its direction of flow. There are several other drumlins named White Hill nearby, the closest being 2 miles (3 km) to the south and 5 miles (8 km) to the southwest.
