Newpark Hill

A little hogback in The Machars of Galloway, Newpark Hill rises to just beyond 90m (295 feet) on the left bank of the Black Burn, a half-mile (1 km) west of Barfad. This is one of a number of drumlins in this area, aligned NNE-SSW indicating the direction of flow in an ancient ice sheet which once covered this area.
