A drumlin lying to the north of the Black Burn in The Machars of Galloway, Bartyke rises to just beyond 100m (328 feet) a half-mile (1 km) north northwest of Barfad. This is one of a number of drumlins in this area, all deposited beneath an ancient glacier.
