Balfern Hill

A round little summit in The Machars of Dumfries and Galloway, Balfern Hill rises to 42m (137 feet), immediately to the north of the B7004 road, 1¼ miles (2 km) southeast of Kirkinner. This is one of a number of drumlins hereabouts, deposited beneath an ice sheet which once covered this area.
