Lady's Rock Light Beacon

Lady's Rock Light Beacon lies on a dangerous rock at the entrance to Loch Linnhe, 1½ miles(2.5 km) southeast of Duart Point on Mull. It is not recorded when the beacon was first established here, but it is shown on the First Edition Ordnance Survey map of 1880. Ships continued to be wrecked on Lady's Rock and the beacon was subsequently improved several times. It now comprises a white-painted stone tower, with the light held within a red aluminium gantry mounted at its top. Its range is 12 nautical miles (22 km).
