Knockdon

A whaleback in The Machars of Dumfries and Galloway, Knockdon rises to 104m (341 feet) a half-mile (0.8 km) north northeast of Barr Hill and a similar distance east of Elrig. This is one of a number of drumlins in this area, aligned NNE-SSW indicating the direction of ice flow. The Knockdon Plantation occupies its northern slopes.
