Cobble Pool

Cobble Pool is a deepening of the River Teviot in Hawick in the Scottish Borders, behind the Cobble Cauld, between Laurie Bridge and Lawson Bridge, a quarter-mile (0.5 km west of the town centre. The Pool is an important stop for horsemen taking part in the town's annual Common Riding, with their leader (the Coronet) dipping his flag into the water to mark a boundary of the ancient burgh. Hawick High School overlooks the pool from the southeast.
