Barnes Burn

A tributary of the Slitrig Water in the Scottish Borders, the Barnes Burn rises on the northern slopes of Penchrise Pen, 1½ miles (2.5 km) southwest of Stobs Castle. It flows northeast through Barnes Loch and a pair of tiny reservoirs, and under the Barns Viaduct, before falling into the Slitrig Water to the south of Woodfoot Bridge, having completed a course of 2¼ miles (3.5 km).
