Challoch Hill

An insignificant little summit in The Machars of Dumfries and Galloway, Challoch Hill rises to 47m (154 feet) a quarter-mile (0.5 km) southwest of Challoch and 2 miles (3 km) northwest of Newton Stewart. This is part of an extensive drumlin field hereabouts, all deposited beneath an ancient ice sheet. There are other similarly-named summits nearby, the nearest being Big Challoch Hill and Little Challoch Hill 6 miles (10 km) to the south southwest.
