Barskeoch

A hill in The Machars of Dumfries and Galloway, Barskeoch rises to 108m (354 feet) to the north of the A75 Trunk Road, 3 miles (5 km) west southwest of Newton Stewart. A large prehistoric cairn on the summit was damaged by excavation in 1890 and robbed for its stone, but remains around 22m (72 feet) in diameter and 1.4m (4½ feet) in height. This hill should not be confused with Barskeoch Fell, located just 4 miles (6.5 km) to the west southwest.
