Drummore Hill

The southwestern part of a drumlin in The Machars of Dumfries and Galloway, Drummore Hill rises to just beyond 70m (229 feet) to the south of the Tarf Water and a mile (1.5 km) south southeast of Kirkcowan. This is part of an extensive drumlin field deposited beneath an ancient ice sheet, with its principal axis aligned NNE-SSW indicating the direction of flow.
