Drummonnie

A little summit on the edge of plantation forest in The Machars of Galloway, Drummonnie rises to just beyond 90m (295 feet) just to the southeast of Drumwhillan, 2 miles (3 km) southwest of Kirkcowan. This is one of several drumlins hereabouts, with its main axis aligned NNE-SSW suggesting the direction of flow of an ancient ice sheet.
