Drumcagerie

An elongated hillock in The Machars of Dumfries and Galloway, Drumcagerie rises to 88m (288 feet) a half-mile (0.8 km) south of the Tarf Water, 2 miles (3 km) southwest of Kirkcowan. An extensive plantation forest extends to the southeast. This is a drumlin, one of a number hereabouts, with its principal axis aligned NNE-SSW suggesting the direction of flow of an ancient ice sheet.
