Mid Hill

A rolling summit of very limited prominence in The Machars of Galloway, Mid Hill rises to just beyond 115m (377 feet) between White Hill and Grey Hill, a quarter-mile (0.5 km) east of Barskeoch Fell and 2 miles (3 km) northwest of Kirkcowan. This is a drumlin, deposited under an ancient ice sheet and is aligned NNE-SSW suggesting the direction of flow. There is another Mid Hill 2 miles (3 km) to the south southeast.
