Pittodrie

A small district of N Aberdeen, Pittodrie is situated a mile (1.5 km) north of the city centre. The modern district lies between King Street in the west and the King's Links to the east, and is best known for Pittodrie Stadium (originally Pittodrie Park), the home of Aberdeen Football Club. Pittodrie Park lay on land which was the property of the Knight Erskine family and acquired its name from their home at Pittodrie House, located 19 miles (30 km) to the west northwest.
