A drumlin in NW Dumfries and Galloway, Knockyclegy rises to 139m (456 feet) on the edge of the Galloway Forest, to the north of Kirkcalla, a half-mile (0.8 km) west northwest of Loch Ochiltree and a mile (1.5 km) south of the border with South Ayrshire. Composed of glacial till, Knockyclegy was deposited beneath an ancient ice sheet.
