An oval summit in NW Dumfries and Galloway, Millgrain Hill rises to 136m (446 feet) surrounded by the Galloway Forest, to the east of the River Bladnoch, ¾ mile (1.2 km) west northwest of Knowe. This is part of an extensive drumlin field, deposited beneath an ancient ice sheet which once covered this area.
